Recent arrest activity in Wareham

WAREHAMFrom Wareham Police: The Wareham Police Department has made multiple arrests over the last several days.
On Saturday January 12, at about 11:30 a.m., Officer Richard Robidoux responded to TJ Maxx regarding a larceny. After an investigation, an 18 year old store employee is being charged with larceny under $1,200. The employee is suspected of stealing items and then returning them at other stores for cash. The value of the items was $359.00.

Later, at about 8:15 p.m. Officer Nate Aronson was approached on Main Street by three individuals who had observed a male exposing himself and committing a lewd act. The man was working as an attendant at Joe’s Gas and Officer Aronson also observed the same activity upon his arrival within seconds. The male was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters for processing. Abdelfadel Mziouak, 45, of New Bedford is being charged with two counts of open and gross lewdness. He is expected to appear in Wareham District Court on Monday morning.

On Sunday around 6:00 p.m. Officers Aronson and Eric Machado arrested Eric Bedard, 40, of East Wareham following a motor vehicle stop on Cranberry Highway. He is being charged with, operating under the influence of liquor, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, and speeding. In addition his passenger Rebecca Ballinger, 50, of no certain address was placed in custody for an active arrest warrant.

Later, at about 7:00 p.m. Officers Aronson and Karl Baptiste arrested, John Lee, 23, of North Attleboro, for operating under the influence of liquor, possession of an open container in a motor vehicle, and operating to endanger. The arrest on Cranberry Highway, by Main Avenue was made after citizen reports of a vehicle that was driving erratically. Officers located and stopped the vehicle and after a brief investigation arrested the driver.

About an hour later, officers were dispatched to Cranberry Highway by Wareham Ford for a motor vehicle accident. At the scene officers observed two vehicles with heavy damage and it appeared that one of the operators was impaired. Two individuals were transported to Tobey Hospital with minor injuries. After an investigation James F. Sacchetti Jr. 32, of Onset, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and marked lanes violation.

Willie Freeman

On Monday morning at 1:30 a.m. Officers Aaron Pacheco and Calib Larue arrested Willie Freeman, 36, of Mashpee because of an active warrant. He was taken into custody following a motor vehicle stop on Onset Avenue near Depot Street.

James Orlando

Later, at about 9:15 a.m., James Orlando, 23, of Falmouth, was arrested by Officers Chris Smith and Matthew Donovan on Marion Road. Mr. Orlando had an active warrant for his arrest.
