Resident treated for smoke inhalation after overnight fire in Orleans


ORLEANS
– Orleans Fire-Rescue responded to a fire overnight in a residential unit at Rock Harbor Village on Main Street. The fire was quickly knocked down and extinguished by Engine 175. A working fire assignment brought resources from Eastham, Brewster, Harwich, Chatham and Dennis firefighters.

The resident of the fire apartment was assisted out by a neighbor prior to the arrival of first responders. The resident was transported to Cape Cod Hospital with smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire is under investigation but appears accidental.
