Retirement, promotion at Eastham Police

EASTHAM
– Earlier Monday, the Eastham Police Department said goodbye to one Sergeant and welcomed a new Sergeant.

A ceremony was held at the station to honor the retirement of Sergeant Brian Savin. Sergeant Savin has worked for the department for 35 years! During that time he served the Town of Eastham as a Reserve Officer, a Patrolman, a Detective, and for the last 8 years the Sergeant of the midnight shift. Sergeant Savin will be missed dearly and EPD wishes him the best of luck in his well deserved retirement.

Following Sergeant Savin’s ceremony, the department held a swearing in ceremony for Officer Josh Adams who was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. Sergeant Adams grew up in the Town of Eastham and went through the Nauset School system. He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from Westfield State University and was hired by the Eastham Police Department in November of 2006. After being sworn in, Sergeant Adams was pinned with his new badge by his wife and two sons (right-click image to enlarge).
