RI fast ferry loses propulsion off Martha’s Vineyard

MARTHA’S VINEYARD – The Coast Guard is reporting that M/V Ava Pearl (Rhode Island Fast Ferry) lost propulsion 1/4 mi. from shore. A commercial towing service was bringing it back to Vineyard Haven. 75 people were onboard and no injuries have been reported. USCG reports winds up to 20 knots and they are standing by if needed.
