EASTHAM/ORLEANS – A school bus was reportedly rear-ended by a car at the Eastham/Orleans rotary Friday morning. Eastham Police report that at 9:23 AM, a Jeep Wrangler rear-ended the school bus filled with children. No serious injuries were reported but the number of people involved prompted a Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) to be declared. Ambulances from Eastham, Orleans, Wellfleet, Brewster and Harwich and Chatham were called to the scene. Traffic was heavily backed up in the area. About 10:45 AM officials reported all patients had been transported and the scene was cleared but heavy residual traffic delays were expected to persist for some time.
