silvakennetheYARMOUTH – Yarmouth Police report that on Thursday, the Police Proactive Anti-Crime and Detective Units coordinated a short investigation that led to the arrest of Kenneth E. Human trafficking is a brutal and dehumanizing crime and, because of its nature, itis often unreported. Unlike the sale of guns and drugs, which when sold are gone for good, a trafficked person may be sold over and over for labor, sex or both. Experts estimate that the sale of women, children and men annually generates $32 billion internationally.

Human trafficking is present in every community. With the use of mobile communications and social media, human traffickers can easily enter any community and offer their services. Generally, human trafficking operations bring with it other crimes and substance abuse. The Yarmouth Police Department will continue combat human trafficking in order to create an unwelcome environment for human trafficking.
