Sheriff’s jail and headquarter building to host blood drive Tuesday

BOURNE – The Barnstable County Correctional Facility will host a blood drive on Tuesday, October 18th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Cape Cod Healthcare’s superbly appointed bloodmobile will be on site at that time for all donations.  Walk ins are encouraged and much in demand.

The facility is next to Joint Base Cape Cod (Bourne gate) and diagonally across from the main entrance to the National Cemetery.  There is also ample off-rotary signage directing motorists to the Sheriff’s Office once they turn off Route 28.

Donors will receive a Dunkin Donuts gift card.

All blood donated stays in Barnstable County to serve and save lives on Cape.  Any donor interested in giving platelets should call the Red Cross at 508-862-5663 or email to: www.capecodhealth.org/give-blood.  Platelet donations are not accepted at these drives but badly needed all the same.
