Sketch released of attempted kidnapping suspect in Dennis

DENNIS
– On Sunday at approximately 2 p.m., a subject pulled his vehicle alongside 2 young boys on Dr. Bottero Road in Dennis on the way to Chapin Beach.  The suspect stopped his vehicle, got out, and grabbed a 9-year-old victim by the shoulder and asked “Do you want some candy?”  The victim and his friend were able to run away.  The suspect returned to his vehicle and left the area.

The suspect vehicle is described as:  Gray/Silver newer Land or Range Rover with tinted window in rear.  The suspect is described as a white male in his 40s or 50s with dirty blonde hair that was balding.  Suspect had long sideburns and a goatee.  On left side of  his goatee there was a small gray patch of hair.  Suspect was wearing clear glasses.

Today, with information from the victim in this case, a sketch of the suspect (above) was created by a technician from the Massachusetts State Police Crime Scene Services Unit and Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
