DENNIS – The Dennis Fire Department responded to a reported rollover on Route 6, west bound just east of Exit 78 in the single barrel. The Chevrolet 1-ton dump truck struck a guard rail and flipped on its side. The driver was treated at the scene and transported to Cape Cod Hospital for non-life threating injuries. The truck sustained major damage with the front wheels being torn off. The fire department secured the vehicle from any other hazards while it was being removed.
Traffic on Route 6 was tied for hours while the incident was being investigated and the scene cleaned up from debris.
