BOURNE – If you noticed police activity around the Scenic Highway late Monday afternoon you were not alone. State Police reportedly tried to stop a vehicle for traffic violations sometime after 5 PM. Officials called off the pursuit due to heavy traffic and safety concerns. A short time later police received a call for a crashed vehicle on Bournedale Road and three subjects running from the vehicle into the woods. A Mass State Police helicopter in the area joined several ground units from Bourne and State Police along with at least one K9 dog in searching the area. It was not immediately clear what the suspects were wanted for or if any of them were taken into custody.
