Storm coverage (updated 10 PM): Minor crashes reported due to snowy roads, power outage in Orleans

Cape Cod is in the midst of a significant winter storm. People appear to be heeding the pleas of officials to stay off the road.

As of 10 p.m.  54 Eversource customers in Orleans were without power for at least a couple of hours this evening but have been restored. Orleans Police posted this video showing the blowing and blinding snow.

As of 3 p.m. there were no major incidents or power outages reported. Reports of about 6 inches of snow were common place.

In West Barnstable, firefighters were called to this car vs pole crash on Main Street (Route 6A). No one in the BMW was seriously injured. Snowy roads were a likely factor but Barnstable Police are investigating the crash.

Meanwhile, Provincetown Police responded to this SUV that slid off Route 6 into the median.
