Storm knocks out power, blows down tents

– This morning’s storm which did bring winds over 40 MPH left about 1,800 Eversource customers without power. As of 2:45 p.m. only about 250 were still in the dark. The National Weather Service reported a large tent at an amateur radio field day site was blown down along with a couple of smaller ones. No injuries were reported. Area crews cleared small limbs while power crews repaired downed wires. A 58 MPH gust was reported on Nantucket.
