WELLFLEET – A massive team effort led to rescue a stranded shark at White Crest Beach in Wellfleet sadly failed. Dozens of beachgoers along with Cape Cod National Seashore personnel and the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy worked together to keep the shark alive until it could be towed back into the water. Unfortunately the shark did not survive. This is the second such incident this summer. The shark in the first incident was tagged and continues to swim in the area.
