CHATHAM – Fire broke out in a building in Chatham about 8:45 PM. Authorities arrived at 1470 Main Street (Route 28) to find fire showing from the top floor of a two-story building. The address is listed as Eider Duck Cottages. No injuries were reported. Traffic was temporarily detoured off Route 28 around the fire scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
