Suspicious package investigated Saturday in Falmouth

FALMOUTH – The Falmouth Post Office on Main St. was temporarily closed on Saturday after the discovery of what was thought to be a suspicious package.

Emergency crews responded to the scene just before 9:30 a.m. after the package was discovered on the ground near a mail truck.

Falmouth police, fire and the State Police bomb squad all responded.

The area was closed off until it was determined that the package was not harmful.

State Police are investigating.
