PROVINCETOWN – A Dodge Durango SUV ended up in the water in Provincetown Thursday afternoon. The operator was apparently preparing to retrieve a boat when he apparently lost traction on the ramp at the West End Lot and slid into the water. Provincetown Harbormaster Rex McKinsley was able to attach a tow rope to the vehicle and with the assistance of personnel from TowBoat US Provincetown the line was secured and the vehicle was pulled out of the water so it could be towed. The operator was evaluated for possible hypothermia but declined medical treatment.
