HARWICH – On Saturday around 8:30 a.m. Harwich Police and Harwich Fire Rescue were dispatched to the intersection of Queen Anne Rd and Route 124 (Pleasant Lake Ave) for a report of a motor vehicle crash.
Upon arrival, crews found a Chevy Equinox towing a trailer with a Jet Ski had run off the road narrowly missing a large boulder and trees. It continued into the driveway of a house on the southeast corner of the intersection where it struck an unoccupied parked Toyota pickup truck spinning it around.
The damage to both SUV and pick up truck appeared to be minor and the driver of the SUV was evaluated by medics and transported to Cape Cod Hospital with injuries that were not life threatening. Traffic at the very busy intersection was slowed for a brief time as crews attended to the injured and made sure the vehicles were safe.
The Harwich Police Department is investigating the accident.
