WEST YARMOUTH – From Yarmouth Police: On Sunday, September 23, 2018 at 1:17AM, Yarmouth Police Officers and Firefighters responded to a single vehicle crash on Route 28 in West Yarmouth involving a truck hitting a Utility Pole that knocked out power.
Yarmouth Police Officers arrived and found a black 2013 Chevy K1500 crashed in to a pole.
The area was immediately secured and traffic diverted. The driver was not seriously injured.
The driver Christopher M. Doyle, 48, of Groveland, MA smelled of alcoholic beverages and had been drinking. Doyle failed a series of Standardized Filed Sobriety Tests and was placed under arrest and transported to Yarmouth Police Department Headquarters.
After completion of the booking process, bail was set at Personal Recognizance and he was released after paying the $40 fee.
He is due in the Barnstable District Court Monday morning for arraignment.
