CAPE COD – Its day 3 of now Post Tropical Storm Jose’s wind and rain affecting Cape Cod as the storm sits southeast of Nantucket. The storm is weakening but is still causing problems. The photo above shows a tree in the wires on Old Queen Anne Road at Stepping Stones Road overnight in Chatham that knocked out power there.

The National Weather Service reported over an inch of rain in Harwich and Sandwich. Wind gusts to 57 MPH were reported in Woods Hole, with 53 MPH in Barnstable.

As of this report, 281 Eversource customers are without power in Sandwich. Elsewhere only isolated outages were reported.

Noon update: nearly 400 customers without power in Harwich. Isolated outages elsewhere.
Bourne Police posted new video of conditions at Sagamore Beach this morning:

11 PM Update: Winds finally calming down. 900 Eversource customers without power, mostly in Brewster, with some in Orleans and Harwich.
