T.S. Jose morning update (10 AM)


CAPE COD – As Tropical Storm Jose stalls southeast of the Cape, winds continue to blow over 40 MPH. The weather service says they could blow over 50 MPH today (see graphic below). Bourne Police video above updates conditions at Sagamore Beach around 7 AM.

Brewster Police Chief Richard Koch said Route 6A was closed between Point of Rocks Rd. and Underpass Rd. after two primary power lines came down in the wind.

There was no power in the immediate area and the Brewster Town Offices were going to remain closed until 12 p.m. There was still power at the nearby Eddy Elementary School.

Eversource reported about 124 customers in Brewster without power. There were also scattered outages in Barnstable, Harwich, Orleans and Falmouth. Outages were also reported in Plymouth in Wareham.

10 AM update: Brewster outage at 269 customers. A new outage in Sandwich was affecting 739 customers.
