Three arrested on outstanding warrants in Wareham

WAREHAM – On Monday and Tuesday, Wareham Police arrested three people on warrants.

Lashii Ortiz, 23, of Onset was taken into custody on two warrants, and Wareham detectives were assisted by members of the Mass State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section with this arrest around 12:50 PM Monday.

On Tuesday at about 12:40 AM, Ofc. Christopher Corner was on patrol and observed a vehicle pull into the lot of Brandy Hill and saw a passenger recline his seat sp he would not be visible. Ofc. Corner was aware that the male had warrants for his arrest. The female driver parked the vehicle  and the male fled into a wooden area where he was flushed out with the assistance of Ofc. Ryan Turner and Ofc. Aaron Pacheco. Casey Harris, 26, of Wareham was arrested on 3 warrants.

Finally, at about 7:05 PM, Ofc. Corner was passing the Village Motel, and saw David Fenton. 35. of Wareham standing in the lot. Ofc. Corner knew Fenton had a warrant for his arrest, and when he pulled in the lot, Fenton fled into a room. Ofc. Corner pursued him and after a moment, Fenton opened the door and surrendered.

All the arrested parties were taken to Wareham Police Headquarters where they were processed before being arraigned at Wareham District Court.
