Three facing charges in Wareham drug bust

WAREHAM – Three Wareham residents are facing drug-related charges following their arrest  on Wednesday,

Wareham Police executed a search warrant Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. at 3 Dowd Ave. as the result of an investigation regarding the possession and sale of illegal narcotics, namely heroin, from the residence.

After receiving no answer at the door, detectives and assisting patrol officers forced entry into the home. Once inside, detectives encountered 5 people in various areas of the residence.

During a search of the residence, detectives discovered a 14 individually knotted plastic bags containing suspected heroin, and another plastic bag containing 9 individually knotted bags that contained suspected cocaine.

Four digital scales and empty “corner cut” plastic baggies were also found in various areas of the residence.     

Arrested at the scene were 32 year old Joseph Lemay, 24 year old Jenna Pires, and 21 year old David Hill, all of whom are residents of 3 Dowd Avenue.

Lemay and Pires were charged with Possession of a Class A Substance with Intent to Distribute (heroin), while Hill was charged with Possession of a Class B Substance with Intent to Distribute. 

The three were arraigned in Wareham District Court.
