A family is reunited after a child and two adults fell in the water off the West End Breakwater in Provincetown.

PROVINCETOWN – Three people were rescued after ending up in the water at the West End Breakwater in Provincetown. Fire and rescue personnel rushed to the scene shortly before 1 PM Sunday. According to reports, a child apparently fell in where there is a dip in the popular walking path to Long Point. Two adults went in after the child. The three ended up on the inside of the breakwater in the marsh area, carried by the incoming tide. The tide was high enough that a boat from Flyer’s Boat Yard was able to get through the dip and rescue all three. They were brought to shore and reunited with anxious family members. The child was treated for some scrapes but otherwise there were no injuries.
