HYANNIS PORT – Three people were rescued after getting stranded about half way out on the Hyannis Port Breakwater about noon Tuesday. The Hyannis Fire Boat was able to get life vests to the victims until a smaller HFD vessel was able to navigate close enough to take the victims on board. They were brought into the Hyannis Port Yacht Club where at least one was evaluated for minor injuries. The Coast Guard also responded to the incident. There have been several incidents on the breakwater including one where the late Senator Ted Kennedy attempted to rescue people in peril.
