MASHPEE – Shortly before noon Friday, a tracker-trailer truck struck a telephone cable, while going into Percy’s Restaurant on Falmouth Road (Route 28) inn Mashpee. The impact snapped a utility pole down the street in front of 22 Falmouth Road. That caused a small electrical fire at The Barn Convenince Store. Mashpee Fire was assisted at the scene by Cotuit Fire. No one was injured in the incident. Eversource was called to replace the pole and repair downed wires. Route 28 was closed in the area until the pole could be replaced. Traffic in the area was heavily backed up. Mashpee Police are investigating the incident.
