Traffic stop in Yarmouth nets man with three outstanding warrants

malaspinowilliamfYARMOUTH – Yarmouth Police report that on Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. Yarmouth Police Department Proactive Anti-Crime Unit (PACU) Officer Nicholas Ambrosini observed a vehicle traveling east on Route 28. A computer check showed the registered owner, William F. Malaspino, 66, of South Yarmouth (right) had 3 active arrest warrants.

PAC Officer Ambrosini stopped the vehicle on South Sea Avenue in West Yarmouth. YPD Patrol Officer Conor Burnham arrived as back up and Malaspino was placed under arrest without incident. At police headquarters, Malaspino was booked and afforded all applicable rights by Patrol Sergeant Fallon. He was arraigned Thursday in Barnstable District Court.

Assault and Battery on a Police Officer
Felony Assault while Armed with a Dangerous Weapon
Felony Intimidation of a Government Witness
Resisting Arrest
