DENNIS – An accident involving a dump truck early Wednesday morning in Dennis forced the closure of South Gages Way.
Dennis Police said the truck got caught on several utility wires, tearing them down and taking down a pole.
South Gages Way is a popular cut-through road to Route 134 and was expected to cause traffic delays for many hours.
The bike path crossover was also closed.
Drivers can still access Theophilus F. Smith Road from Route 134 but will be stopped at the transfer station entrance.
