At about 8:50 pm, Off. Eric Machado arrested Eduardo Fernandez III, 37, of Wareham, at the Woods at Wareham complex, following a service call to that location. He too was ordered held without bail. After being told he was being held without bail Mr. Fernandez, became enraged and broke a piece of Plexiglas used to cover the inside of the cell door. The piece was broken in such a way that it could be used as a weapon, prompting Sgt. Daniel Flaherty and Off. Calib Larue to enter the cell and retrieve the item. Mr. Fernandez, had to be physically subdued as he became combative when officers entered. A few minutes later, Mr. Fernandez covered the cell light with a blanket, making it impossible for officers to view him by camera. Mr. Fernandez now threatened physical violence if officers entered the cell. Sgt. Flaherty and Off. Larue were assisted by Off. Ryan Turner and Mr. Fernandez became very combative, after being warned to calm down. A taser was used to subdue him and the items were removed from the cell. In addition to the warrant, Mr. Fernandez, is now facing an additional charge of vandalizing property. Mr. Fernandez was arrested back in November 2017 for a larceny from Walmart and during that arrest he became combative and resisted officers attempting to arrest him.
