Two arrested for alleged robbery at knifepoint at Dennis park


DENNIS
– Dennis Police report that at approximately 12:50 PM Monday, a subject walked into the police station to report that that two suspects, one of which had brandished a knife, had stolen an item that he had previously agreed to sell to them while at the Johnny Kelley Recreation Area, 61 Bob Crowell Road, South Dennis.

The suspects fled in a motor vehicle, a description of which the victim provided to officers, that was stopped a short time later on Setucket Road in Dennis by Dennis Patrol Officer Mark Lambton. After an investigation at the scene, two subjects were placed under arrest and charged with the following offenses:

  • An 19 year old male from Dennis was charged with armed assault with intent to rob, and larceny under $250
  • A 15 year old male juvenile from Yarmouth was charged with armed assauklt with intent to rob

A determination regarding bail for the adult subject and release for the juvenile subject was pending.

Dennis Officers were assisted during the investigation by the Yarmouth Police Department, Massachusetts State Police and a Criminal Investigations Officer from the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office.
