Two arrested for B&E MV, stealing prescription pills, larceny of MV

– Oak Bluffs Police and Tisbury Police have arrested two males in a joint investigation into the breaking and entering of two motors vehicles, larceny of prescription medications and larceny of a motor vehicle.

Officers arrested Mark “Markus” Premdas, 27, of Oak Bluffs, and Ricardo Marinho-Dasilva, 25, of Tisbury.

At approximately 3:10 a.m. on Monday, before any of the crimes were reported to police, two Tisbury Police Officers located the stolen vehicle parked on Main Street in Tisbury. The vehicle was smoking from the front grille and appeared to have been involved in an accident.

When the Tisbury officers approached they observed a male exit the vehicle and start running from the scene. As the male started running officers observed him throw prescription medication bottles that were later determined to be stolen from two separate vehicles that were parked on County Road in Oak Bluffs.

The Tisbury Police officers apprehended the suspect, identified him as Marinho-Dasilva and placed him under arrest. Prior to the apprehension of Marinho-Dasilva, two Oak Bluffs Police midnight shift officers observed Marinho-Dasilva and Premdas walking together in the area of the stolen vehicle and break ins.

The Oak Bluffs officers continued to investigate the matter into the morning which revealed the two males broke into two parked vehicles, stole prescription medications and other items and stole a third vehicle on County Road in the area between the Oak Bluffs Fire Station and Shirley Avenue. When the vehicle was stolen it struck a tree causing damage to the vehicle in the victim’s yard.

At approximately 12:40 p.m. Mr. Premdas came to the Oak Bluffs Police station where he was later arrested.

The two men will be criminally charged with the following:
