Update: Third suspect arrested in Wareham home invasion

WAREHAMFrom Wareham Police: On Tuesday, January 15, at about 5:10 p.m. Wareham Police officers Michael Phinney and James White responded to Choctaw Drive for a reported home invasion. At the scene a male victim reported that two males and a female had broken into the home, and began beating him with baseball bats. In addition to beating him, the men stole the victim’s wallet which contained a large quantity of cash. A second victim was also struck several times by the suspects. Wareham Police detectives began an immediate investigation and the suspects were quickly identified. Furthermore, detectives obtained arrest warrants for the three suspects on Wednesday morning at the Wareham District Court.

Armed with the warrants, Wareham detectives, Bourne Police detectives, and troopers from the State Police Violent Apprehension Section arrested Katherine N. Greene, 30, of 31 Dry Cedar Swamp Road, Bourne, at her residence at about 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Shortly after that the detectives arrested another suspect, Jeffrey Johnson, 24, at his residence 16 Catherine Court in East Wareham. A third suspect, Daniel Russ, 38, of Marstons Mills, was arrested on Route 195 in Marion Wednesday night after a motor vehicle stop. He’s being held on $100,000 bail and will be in Wareham District Court on Thursday.

All three suspects are charged with the following:

1. Home Invasion
2. Armed Robbery
3. Assault and Battery with a dangerous weapon (2 counts)
