WAREHAM – From Wareham Police: The Wareham Police Department has arrested and charged two individuals along with recovering thousands of dollars’ worth of stolen property from the recent break-ins at two local jewelry stores. The breaks occurred on Wednesday, October 24, at Aaron Marks Jewelers, on Monday, October 29, at Gold World, and yet again on Thursday, November 1, at Aaron Marks Jewelers. The suspect smashed his way into the building, smashed jewelry cases, and stole multiple items before fleeing. Wareham Police detectives began an intensive investigation and were able to identify two suspects on November 1. Bourne police detectives, as well as the Barnstable County Sherriff’s were investigating a similar crime in Bourne, assisted in the identification of the suspects.
Erin Pardi
One of the suspects, Erin Pardi, 21, of Wareham was involved in a minor car accident in New Bedford Thursday afternoon and arrested on an unrelated Wareham warrant at that location. Wareham Police detectives learned of her arrest, and went to the city picking her from New Bedford authorities. In addition, the car she was driving was seized and brought back to Wareham PD, where a warrant was obtained to search the vehicle. Several pieces of stolen items were located in the car. In addition to the warrant, detectives charged Pardi with receiving stolen property over $1,200. Information to the press was not released on this arrest, because at the time it could have compromised the ongoing investigation. Detectives were still actively searching for the other suspect, checking several locations in New Bedford, Fall River, and Wareham. Patrol officers were alerted to be on the lookout for Anthony J. Vieira 24, of no certain address, as he was the final suspect who needed to be arrested.

On Sunday, November 4, at about 6:00 a.m. Sgt. Daniel Henderson stopped a vehicle on Marion Road near Cromesett Road. Mr. Vieira, a passenger in the car jumped out running across Marion Road, into the bog area. Officers Chris Corner, Ryan Turner, Aaron Pacheco, and Ryan Gomes converged on the area and began tracking the suspect. Multiple residents called saying they saw a male run through their backyards, and minutes later Officer Pacheco observed Mr. Vieira crossing a marsh near the Woods at Wareham complex, where he was taken into custody by Officers Turner and Gomes. The Wareham officers were assisted in the arrest by Sgt. Scott Brightman of the Mass. State Police.
Mr. Vieira is being held on $5,000 cash bail and is expected in Wareham District Court on Monday morning. He is being charged with the following crimes;

Breaking and entering in the nighttime with intent to commit a felony (3 counts).

Larceny from a building, (3 counts).

Receiving stolen property over, $1,200 (3 counts).
In addition more charges are expected against Ms. Pardi.
