SANDWICH – Two people were injured in a crash on Route 6 in Sandwich around 7:45 AM. The crash happened eastbound between exits 2 and 3. A Bourne ambulance assisted at the scene. The crash is under investigation by State Police.
Update from Sandwich Fire: Sandwich F.F.’s responded to a multi car crash on Rt 6 East this AM. Several injured patients were transported. A puppy ran from the above vehicle after the collision. F.F.’s searched the woods & located the near hypothermic “sunshine” a 1/4 mile from the crash scene.
Update from Sandwich Police: Today, Sunshine’s owner was involved in a motor vehicle crash on RTE 6 in Sandwich. Sunshine ran from the car and was missing. The temps outside were in the single digits and Sunshine is a young puppy. Personnel at the scene began a search and located Sunshine. Here the pup is with Jen, our Emergency Telecommunicator, waiting to be reunited with family members.
