Serious injury in Falmouth crash

FALMOUTH
– One operator was seriously injured today after a two-vehicle crash on Route 151. Falmouth Police tell CWN 2011 Honda CR-V was traveling westbound on Route 151 when it collided with a 2004 Honda Civic sedan exiting the Route 28 off ramp.

Both operators, age 33 of Mashpee and age 58 of East Falmouth, were transported to Falmouth Hospital by Falmouth Fire and Rescue. One of the operators was later transferred to a Rhode Island Hospital in Providence for a serious, but non-life threatening injury.

Route 151 was closed for about 30 minutes while Falmouth Fire & Rescue extracted one of the operators, injured parties were treated and transported, and vehicles were removed from the site.

Police transported an uninjured dog involved in the crash to Falmouth Animal Control for temporary shelter.

Police say a citation will be issued for Failure to Yield.
