Two injured, one seriously in Route 6 crash

DENNIS – The Dennis Fire Department reports that at approximately 2:34 p.m. a vehicle traveling east on Route 6 between exits 9 and 10 went off the road and struck a large pine tree. Two people were treated and transported to Cape Cod Hospital.

The female driver was able to get herself out of the car and was treated and transported by Harwich Fire Department with injuries that were not-life threatening. Firefighters had to cut some trees to extricate the second victim. He was transported by the Dennis Fire Department with potentially life-threatening injuries.

The crash is being investigated by the Massachusetts State Police.
