DENNIS – From Dennis Police: Starting September 4, 2018, MassDOT will begin the reconstruction of Route 28 in Dennis Port, MA. The work will extend from Dennis Commons to Upper County Road (approximately one mile) and include resurfacing the road, adding bicycle lanes and sidewalks on both sides of the road, utility upgrades, and aesthetic improvements. The construction is scheduled to last 2 years and proceed from west to east, starting with the utility work. Construction activities may require reducing traffic to one lane with alternating traffic flow controlled with police details. Commuters are encouraged to seek alternate routes once construction begins. The Robert Our Company from Harwich, MA was awarded the contract and will be performing the work.
