EDGARTOWN – Edgartown Police report that shortly after 2:00 a.m. Saturday, Officer Trudel attempted to initiate a traffic stop on West Tisbury Road.
The vehicle in question failed to stop and fled down Bennett Way. It was found a short time later after it had crashed into a tree and rolled over on its roof.
The operator was transported to the hospital and treated for minor injuries.
This incident is still under investigation.
