FALMOUTH – At least one vessel with 8 people on board ran into trouble in Waquoit Bay sometime after 8:30 PM Friday. According to reports a vessel started taking on water and struck the jetty at the entrance to the bay. The vessel was apparently able to get clear of the rocks and was assisted into the Little River Boat Yard in Mashpee. All parties were evaluated but declined medical treatment. The incident is under investigation. Further details were not immediately available.
