PROVINCETOWN – A woman was seriously injured in a bike accident on the Provincelands Bike Trail near the Visitor Center in the Cape Cod National Seashore Tuesday afternoon. The woman, who was reportedly not wearing a helmet, suffered a head injury. Paramedics called for a MedFlight helicopter. Because of an extended arrival time, the ambulance began heading toward Cape Cod Hospital and met the chopper at Snow’s Field in Truro. The victim was flown to a Boston trauma center. The incident is under investigation by U.S. Park Police.
