PLYMOUTH – A 39-year-old father and his 5 & 6 year old children left Plymouth around 10 AM Sunday on a 20 foot Wellcraft with plans to go to Provincetown were reported missing late Sunday night touching off an intensive search. The Coast Guard deployed a helicopter from the air station and boats from the Cape Cod Canal, Point Allerton and Provincetown stations.
The family and their boat were located disabled off Scituate, MA with no injuries reported. A boat crew from STA Point Allerton was to tow the disabled Wellcraft to shore. The helicopter stayed on scene until other crews arrive.
