DENNIS PORT – Around 10:10 a.m. Sunday a westbound Ford Ranger pickup truck rear-ended a Lincoln MKX on Route 28 near the intersection with Depot Street. According to reports at the scene, the Lincoln was apparently stopped in the roadway waiting to take a left turn into the parking lot of the South Depot Street Restaurant.
The Dennis Fire Department was dispatched to the scene to mitigate fluid leaking from one of the vehicles. There were no injuries but both vehicles had to be towed from the scene. Traffic on 28 was reduced to one lane until the scene could be cleared. The Dennis Police Department is investigating.
