NEW DETAILS: Four in custody after stealing boat at Allen Harbor in Harwich Port

HARWICH PORT
  – On Tuesday, the Harwich Police received a phone call from the owner of a boat that was moored in Allen Harbor. The caller said that the manager of the harbor called him and said that 4 individuals were boarding his boat. The owner of the boat confirmed that he is off Cape and no one should be on his boat.

The first responding officer to the harbor saw the boat as it was going through the channel heading for open ocean. The Harwich Harbormaster was notified and he immediately responded to Saquatucket Harbor for his patrol boat. Three Harwich Police Officers joined the Harbormaster on his patrol boat to attempt to locate the stolen boat. The US Coast Guard and a patrol boat from the Yarmouth Department of Natural Resources also deployed to assist.

Two employees of Allen Harbor Marine took a small boat and offered to follow the boat from a distance and update the Harbormaster via phone as to the location of the boat.

Through the efforts of all involved the boat was located and boarded by the Harwich Police Officers. Four subjects on the boat were taken into custody. The boat and the subjects were taken to Allen Harbor.

The subjects were identified as Christopher Arms, 37 of Harwich, Lisa Storey, 49 of Hyannis, Geoffrey Curran, 23, and Jason Mostacci, 36, of Danvers. They were each charged with Felony Larceny and held on $5,000 cash bail. They were transported to Orleans District Court for arraignment on Wednesday morning.
