HARWICH – Around 9;30 p.m. Friday, a homeowner on Chatham Road heard animal cries from outside his house. Upon further checking he discovered a young Fox in a storm drain. Animal Control Officer Jack Burns was called to the scene. Officer Burns was assisted by the Harwich Fire Deptartment in removing the grate. Officer Burns was able to lasso the Fox and return the animal to the wild. The Fox entered the exit pipe and fell 4 feet into the drain where he was trapped.
