YARMOUTH – On Saturday, a Yarmouth Division of Natural Resources (DNR) officer responded to the report of an injured owl.
Upon arrival the officer identified the owl as a mature Great Horned Owl. It was clear from observation that the owl was injured.
The owl was immediately transported to a wildlife rehab facility for examination and treatment. At the facility professionally trained personnel examined the owl and believed its injuries (possibly internal) were sustained from a car-strike.
DNR hopes this incredible bird of prey can recover.
