Wareham man facing OUI charge after reportedly “doing doughnuts” in parking lot

WAREHAM – Wareham Police report that on Wednesday evening at about 9:40 PM, Ofc. Michael Phinney was sitting in the parking lot of the Bay Pointe Country Club, writing a police report. A car came down Bay Pointe Drive and then turned into a gravel lot adjacent to the golf course. The vehicle started spinning around “doing doughnuts” in the lot. Ofc. Phinney pulled over to the vehicle and activated his blue lights.

After an investigation, it was determined the operator appeared to be under the influence and was placed into custody.

Arrested was Jorden A. Perry, 25, of Wareham who was charged with operating under the influence of liquor (2nd offense), operating negligently to endanger and open container of an alcohol in a vehicle.
