Wareham man facing OUI charge

WAREHAM – Wareham Police report that on Tuesday at about 2:25 PM, Ofc. Matthew Donovan observed a vehicle operating erratically on Main Street. in the center area. The vehicle then turned onto Chapel Street straddling the center line. Ofc. Donovan stopped the vehicle and after an investigation, arrested Michael Levett, 63, of Wareham and charged him with operating under the influence of liquor, operating negligently to endanger, marked lanes violation, and open container of alcohol in a vehicle. Levett was transported to the police station where he was processed pending arraignment in Wareham District Court on Wednesday.

Wareham Police say they will continue to vigorously enforce drunk driving laws and have zero tolerance for anyone who drives while impaired.
