Wareham Police charge 2 Hyannis men with receiving stolen motor vehicle

WAREHAM – Wareham Police responded to Target at the Wareham Crossing shopping complex Wednesday afternoon regarding two males possibly shoplifting at the store, who were observed going back and forth to a parked vehicle.

Upon arrival at Target, officers located one of the males inside the store, and the second male in a vehicle parked in the lot. During investigation of possible shoplifting, officers discovered the vehicle used by the males had been stolen from Hyannis.

Geoffrey Curran, 21, and Michael James, 43, both of Hyannis, were placed under arrest and charged with receiving a stolen motor vehicle.

Store surveillance footage is being reviewed for possible evidence related to the men shoplifting at the Target. At this time, it is believed approximately $2000 worth of merchandise may have been stolen from the store.
