Wareham Police make several warrant arrests, recover loaded firearm

WAREHAM – From Wareham Police: On Thursday, November 15, Officer Joseph Cardoza arrested Teena Hill, 46,
of no certain address at about 10:30 a.m. on Cranberry Highway. Ms. Hill had an active warrant for her arrest.

On Saturday morning at midnight, November 17, Officer Peter Silva arrested Terrance Cardoza, 44, of Bourne on Onset Avenue. Mr. Cardoza had two warrants for his arrest.

Brian Rounds

Later on Saturday, Officers Stephen Joy and Michael Phinney arrested Brian Rounds, 47, of Wareham at 8:45 a.m. at the Rosewood Motel. Mr. Rounds had two warrants for his arrest, and was found hiding in a bathroom when officers were in the building on an unrelated call.

Frank Coppolino

Then at about 1:00 p.m., Officer Justin Silveira arrested Frank Coppolino, 59, of Middleboro, following a motor vehicle stop on Cranberry Highway. Officer Silveira was aware that Mr. Coppolino had an active warrant for his arrest when he drove by him. In addition to the warrant Mr. Coppolino was charged with, operating after suspension of his license.

When Wareham police officers were committed at the train incident on Minot Avenue, a call was received from the JC Penny regarding a loaded firearm which had been found in a dressing room. Due to Wareham officers being tied up, the Massachusetts State Police responded and took control of the weapon. The firearm was brought to the Wareham Police station and the owner was located. It appears that the weapon was accidently left behind, and the incident remains under investigation by Sgt. Herb Noble, with possible charges forthcoming.
