Wareham woman stabbed to death in front of New Bedford residence

WAREHAM – State and New Bedford Police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a Wareham woman.

Chantel Bruno, 34, was found outside a home in New Bedford at 1:30 a.m. Monday. Authorities said she had been stabbed.

They were responding to reports of a woman screaming and bleeding. Bruno was pronounced dead at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford a short time later.

The stabbing death remains under investigation.
