BREWSTER – Firefighters were called after reports of a sailfish with a broken sail drifting off Point of Rocks Beach along Cape Cod Bay in Brewster around 11 AM. The vessel was located near Breakwater Beach and the person was reported safe. A Dennis Fire boat assisted in the incident.
Earlier, Chatham Firefighters responded to a paddleboarder in distress off Morris Island. A Good Samaritan assisted the person back to the island.
No injuries were reported. Officials have been reminding people despite the mild conditions, water temperatures remain dangerously cold.
